Contracts Administrator - Military Spares

United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) Military Customer Support and Logistics Contracts organization, focused on the military spares aftermarket segment, has a new opportunity for a Contracts Administrator . We are looking for a motivated individual with a desire to grow and develop in the government contracts arena, into more challenging and higher level positions within the department. This individual will be responsible for cradle to grave proposal through award responsibilities including a wide variety of contract administration duties from receipt of award through delivery and payment, for a variety of customers for the military aftermarket including numerous government agencies, large prime defense contractors, and international customers. This organization is high volume and fast paced, as such this position will require an individual capable of multitasking, strong communication skills, and good organizational and prioritization skills. Responsibilities will include: Receipt, review, and processing of customer solicitations/RFPs. Proposal preparation and negotiation. Receipt and review of contract awards in accordance with department policies and procedures. Ensuring new awards/orders are booked timely and accurately in the MRP system. Ensuring all necessary flowdowns to supply chain, shipping, quality, etc. are communicated timely and accurately. Management of contracts to include assistance with customer delivery status inquiries, customer delivery expedite requests, the handling of contract modifications, and working closely with customers to resolve issues. Responsible for ensuring timely payment from customers. Responsible to ensure that customer s solicitations and contract requests/inquiries are handled professionally and timely. Work in a team environment with other contracts administrators as well as working closely with other functional teams including program management and operations/planning. Participate in process improvement initiatives for the department.
