Responsibilities
UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is one of the world
os largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. ISR & Space Systems is a business unit within UTAS and our products reside in deep space, low earth orbit , undersea and on the ground. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.
The ISR & Space Systems business has contributed to significant advances in ground, air, space and imaging technology for over 85 years. Within ISR & Space Systems we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station, including the space suit, and undersea in submarines.
We are now looking for highly motivated and technically sound individuals to join us as technicians in our Advanced Systems and Technologies group. Responsibilities include assembly and operation of test rigs, development and prototype hardware and systems.
Qualifications
2 year technical degree
4 year degree is prefered
Minimum of 10
years working in an electro/mechanical technician capacity.
Requires a demonstrated, basic understanding of compressed gas systems, oxygen and hydrogen safety, test equipment (pumps, fans, controllers, transducers, gas analyzers, etc), and mechanical and electrical schematics.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with data acquisitions and control systems, industrial process controllers, fuel cells/electrolyzers, chemical process equipment and Pressure Swing Adsorption systems is considered a plus.
Education - 2 year technical degree
