SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (Title 32)

Temporary promotion not to exceed two (2) years. The purpose of the temporary promotion is to backfill a deployed Soldier. The temporary promotion will be terminated within 30 days of return of the incumbent to the position. JOB
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management/program analysis for the logistic activities under the jurisdiction of the USPFO; and to direct acquisition, accountability, incoming, outgoing and formal transfer of logistic asset for the USPFO in support of the Federal and state mission. Position is responsible for the management, direction, and supervision of employees. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to:
Develops goals and objectives that integrate organizational, logistics, supply, transportation and inventory management. Delegates responsibility and authority to subordinates. Develops draft policies, concepts, and procedures to ensure that an effective operation is maintained using personnel, equipment, and funding to support the mission. Ensures coordination with the other state USPFO, USPFO branches and state activities and units for material support for projects, operations, or programs including works such as:
equipment fielding, commercial non-standard equipment authorizations and distribution. Provides guidance regarding logistic inventory control and conducting surveys of logistic supplies and inventory management functions. GENERAL
Experience:
Experience involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Experience demonstrating knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the technical requirements governing the accounting of government property. Knowledge of the organization, regulations and methods of supply systems. Ability to compute material requirements or estimates for budget, procurement, provisioning or other special programs. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT:
For temporary promotions, the MOS and unit remains with the permanent position from which temporarily promoted. However, rank requirement must be met to avoid grade inversion. MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application):

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
